Safeguarding

A word from Ms Kler, Waverley Education Foundation Director of Safeguarding

Safeguarding across Waverley Education Foundation is taken extremely seriously and is pivotal to everything that we do.

It is of paramount importance to us at Waverley Education Foundation that all of our pupils are kept safe from harm, and our staff is committed to ensuring that any concern about a pupil’s welfare is dealt with appropriately in a timely manner as per our Safeguarding and Child Protection policy and Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.

We ensure that all of our staff receives regular training, including Prevent and Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, and updates on safeguarding and child protection issues. Clear procedures are in place for when concerns are identified.

All applicants for employment at Waverley Education Foundation will be fully vetted in accordance with DFE guidelines for safer recruitment.

Pupils across Waverley Education Foundation are taught about safeguarding topics and how to keep themselves safe. All pupils and parents can talk to a member of the safeguarding team should they have any concerns.
