Salary £23,194- £29,439– Scale point 9 – 22 (Full Time, TTO)

Actual salary based on Scale point 9 approximately £20,277

Within the Central Collegiate, we have been on year one of our journey with improving standards of Literacy and reading across the schools to close gaps for our children and raise their aspirations and attainment. As part of the exciting growth plans for the Collegiate, we are expanding our team to meet future requirements.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant (L3, GR3) with EAL/Literacy Specialism within our secondary phase.

 

The ideal applicant will have experience of working with children within a secondary setting and be willing to work as members of enthusiastic and forward thinking teams to ensure learners of all abilities achieve their very best.  They should have a good understanding of how children can learn and develop and be able to work confidently with them and with other teachers.  Candidates must be able to use their own initiative and be able to communicate confidently and effectively with children, staff and parents.  All candidates must have the ability to work within and apply all school policies and it would be advantageous to have knowledge of the SEN code of Practice.   All applicants must hold the Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).

There will be a requirement to travel to other schools within the collegiate

. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to further their experience and contribute to the positive achievement of our children.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
