We are a Humanities Specialist College which became an all through school in September 2012.  We achieved IIP Gold in December 2013 and we try to create an environment which allows everyone to develop mutual respect for each other and a respect for learning. This is an exciting time to join Waverley School.

 

We have landmark buildings that provide everyone with state of the art facilities for learning, teaching and training. As part of the exciting growth plans for the School, we are expanding our team to meet future requirements and are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Learning Mentor for our KS2/KS3.   

 

The Learning Mentor will assist in the provision of a complementary service to that given by existing teachers and pastoral staff in schools by addressing the needs of children who need help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside the school, in order to achieve their full potential. All applicants must be able to communicate effectively with pupils, teachers and external agencies as required.  All applicants must also have the relevant Mentors qualifications and A* - C GCSE in English or equivalent.

 

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Learning Mentor to further their experience and contribute to the positive achievement of our children.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
