We are a Humanities Specialist College which became an all through school in September 2012.  We achieved IIP Gold in December 2013. At Waverley we try to create an environment which allows everyone to develop mutual respect for each other and a respect for learning. 

This is an exciting time to join Waverley Education Foundation Trust. We have landmark buildings that provide everyone with state of the art facilities for learning, teaching and training.

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual to join our team as a Reception & Administration Assistant Waverley School including Sixth form.

You will be required to work 36.50 hours per week. The school reception will need to be covered from 8.00am until 5.00pm, you will work with the team on a shift pattern to ensure reception is covered at all times. The shift patterns will be 8.00am to 4.00pm and 9.00am to 5.00pm.

The Receptionist will be the face of Waverley School so should be professional and welcoming to all visitors and telephone callers, ensuring school protocols are adhered to at all times.  They should be able to provide an effective switchboard support to the school and be able to take accurate messages and pass them on accordingly.  They will also be responsible for making first day absence calls to parents.  The ideal candidate will need to be confident and able to communicate effectively with visitors, staff, pupils, parents and other external agencies as required.  Experience of using Microsoft Office, especially word and outlook is essential.  You will need to have excellent administration skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team. Previous experience of working as a receptionist would be very beneficial, but not essential.  Applicants must have a good business / customer service ethic and be flexible in their approach to work.  All applicants must also have an A* - C GCSE in English or equivalent.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
